There are so many different uses for LoRa modules these days you will want a whole lot of them. Three units (all Heltec V3) are currently in use in the office running following:

  • 433 MHz Meshcom (Amateur Licence)
  • 433 MHz LoRa APRS iGate (CA2RXU)
  • 868 MHz Meshtastic

1 HU is left on the rack for which I will surely find use as well soon.

Antennas

Antennas used:

  • 433 MHz Meshcom & 433 MHz LoRa APRS: UHF HB9CV
  • 868 MHz Sirio panel antenna

Design Process

The rack is a 5" design for 3D printing that's freely available for download: https://www.printables.com/model/1173286-microlab-mini-modular-home-server-rack

I designed the Heltec panels using the popular TonyG V3 case that's also available for download here. Unfortunately the licence does not allow the distribution of remixes and as such I am unable to share the print files.
